The Newman Prayer Shawl Ministry began in the fall of 2010. It is multigenerational and open to all men and women. We gather in community as we knit and crochet shawls, blankets, lapghans, and prayer squares for members of our Newman community. We share our faith and love of the Lord while we work. The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice which embodies thoughts and prayers for the receiver. It is a gift freely given with no strings attached.
