I was in Vegas for work and took the extra hop, skip and a jump down to LA where I rented a car and drove down to San Diego, where the Marine Corps basic training happens. I got to stay on base overnight, and watch a very cool morning colors ceremony all in preparation for graduation.

Sunday, July 21, 2013. American Idol - Heidi and the Top 10! Our Friends got some free tickets to the American Idol Concert this week and invited us to go! It was really fun. Heidi stayed late to get pictures with each Idol. We never again go during Spring break but we had fun anyway.

My favorite part was the bungee bounce. We ate lots of cotton candy and snow cones. There was a petting zoo that Colin especially loved. Britton and Taylor ran around with their friends going on all the different rides.

Monday, June 3, 2013. We feel so lucky to be her parents! She is such a silly little girl. She is growing so fast, and absolutely LOVES learning. When she was first born she either slept, ate, or cried. There was a LOT of crying! At her 1 year doctor appointment we were told her language and intelligence level was at about 18-24 months.

Thursday, October 16, 2008. 6 to 8 medium red potatoes or 4 large russet. Clean, peel if you want, and chop them into 1 inch squares. Place in medium sauce pan and cover with 1 box Swanson chicken broth. Bring to a boil and cook till fork tender. It should still hold shape. Mash a little with a potato masher and add 2 cups milk. Put 4 to 6 Tbsp of flour over the cheese and toss it together. Covering the cheese with the flour.
