Saturday, November 19, 2011. A big week, tragedy and blessings. Dad also got to meet a father and 12 year old son from Utah who had come out there because of a promise the father had made to the son about reading the book of Mormon. The boy had asked his dad if he could go to the sacred grove to pray. About the book when he finished it and his dad said yes. So they were out there to fulfill that promise. We all ate white bread, used real butter, ate red meat, drank whole milk, our cars were big and our houses were small and sturdy. We embraced the American lifestyle. In 1966 our Dad sold out his interest in the business and we moved back to Logan, Utah. I was too young not to go along. I tried to go to beauty school and dropped out 1 month shy of graduation.
