Tuesday, August 11, 2015. This illness has very nearly knocked me out but I think I may have turned the corner. I am still coughing like an 80 year old coal miner. Also, I have coughed so hard that I think I injured my ribs and definitely have sprained a muscle in my neck. 3 guys, a girl, and enough going on. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. The first few days of first grade were great! This week, however, has been a struggle. Colin seems to be having a difficult time transitioning to a longer day with a new teacher and new class. We had a nice long talk, did his homework, and then he got to write an apology letter to his teacher.

My grandparents had one at their house that brought decades of entertainment and fond memeries to an entire generation of grandkids. I admit that we are big fans of the Nickelodeon Cartoon Series. He got this bike for Christmas 2011 and loved to ride it with training wheels. Then in the fall we took them off, and it sat in the garage. One day last month he went to his friends house and tried out a smaller bike. We took that bike home so he could learn, and after three days he mastered it and moved on to his bike! Wednesday, May 12, 2010. The weather is perfect for getting out of doors and digging in the garden. Although our dirt patch is small it provided great specimens. Peter shows us my favorite flower, Columbine. We started a compost bin with organic material from the garden and kitchen. Neighborhood kids on bikes wanted to join in too! They helped search for worms. The boys gathered and compared organic and inorganic objects.
