This section of my blog will capture my outdoor adventures. Most of my adventures are hiking trips, but I enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds. Most of my outdoor adventures take place in the mountains of New England, but I have been out west to Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, and Oregon. I went on a 30-day NOLS North Cascades Mountaineering course during the summer of 2003. I was active in the NHOC at the University of New Hampshire while I was there.

Monday, July 02, 2007. Pat, the doggies, and I hit the trails this past weekend, and what a beautiful weekend it was. We hiked in the Dry River trail about 5 miles to the junction with the Isolation Trail and found a great established camp site. Once we set up camp, we discovered that Luna REALLY liked the tent! The doggies were quite exhausted and made themselves right at home! Is that Cesar Millan? .
The question was posed, why would you become a not for profit instead of a non-profit 501c3? It appears that there are some very good reasons to go the way of Not For Profit. Not For Profit is a state designation, rather than federal.

Friday, September 9, 2011. A few final words and pictures. Looking back over the last 18 days, here are a few things that we learned. 1 Satelite radio can be a good thing in the right hands. New rule - Dan is not allowed to have the controls of the radio. 2 115 degrees is hot - dry heat or not! 8 Coffee early in the morning at the campsite is a wonderful thing. 9 California is an amazing place to visit! So until the next adventure.
