The Barker Blog

Enter At Your Own Risk. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Liver Biopsy and Degenerative Disc Disease. Last Thursday I got a call from Mom. She was being sent to Strong Memorial Hospital to meet with a Dr Friday at 3pm. Seems her living functions have been going nowhere but up for some time. I left here at 7am Friday to drive up and meet my brother in Syracuse where I would take her the rest of the way. Mom had her biopsy and was released yesterday. I left here at 7am and made it up to the hospital by 11 .

Thursday, September 29, 2011. Day 10- Venice and then Home. We traveled all the night before from Dubrovnik back to Venice. We were scheduled to be picked up from the boat that morning and then headed to the Venice airport. Once we arrived at the airport, we still had several hours before our plane even boarded and so we had to just wait at the ticket gates and wait for them to open so we could get through security and to a comfortable place to sit! From Venice we had a few stops and a few layovers.
