Thursday, August 1, 2013. This rocker belonged to my grandmother. When my mother turned 16 years old she ask her mother if she could go out. Since my mother was grounded at the time, my grandmother said no. My mother sat in this rocker and carved her initials in the top right arm of the chair, a defiant act. Not sure what her punishment was for that or even why she was grounded in the first place. My mother was something of a spitfire.

I want to thank my mother, Irene, who cared from me in my early years. She is a strong woman whose courage and perseverance led me through the tough times and made me who I am today. Lastly, thank you to my wife Donna. Who supported me in this decision, and cared for me after the surgery. She turned out to be a pretty good nurse! Robert B.
