All about Gerberas

Sunday, November 30, 2008. From the back streets of old Shanghai. Many of these arrangements are used in shops or restaurants particularly new ones. This is one of the best arrangements of this type that I have seen. There are many many florists in China - quite surprising really! Sunday, August 10, 2008. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat. I hope to do so one day soon.

Wheels in China

Sunday, February 8, 2009. Many deliveries in China are carried out by small vehicles - tricycles piled high with big boxes, or laden with all sorts of items. Big items are transported by huge trucks. Some of the largest trucks I have seen - apart from the huge trucks used in some major Australian mines - have been in China. Huge long trucks transport items which I cannot identify. I have no idea what is in the big bags, but trucks with this sort of load is not uncommon here. Sunday, February 1, 2009.

Diary of a House Sitter and Traveller

Diary of a House Sitter and Traveller. After driving around Australia on my own I have settled at Beachmere, north of Brisbane. Well, it is nearly the end of my house sitting at Southport, Queensland. I return to Brisbane tomorrow and continue the preparations for the drive to Alice Springs and Uluru. Tomorrow it will be goodbye to Sout.

An Australian in Jinan

The peripatetic ramblings of a peripathetic rambler. Friday, June 6, 2008. What shop is that? How difficult is it to exist in China without understanding Chinese? Earlier I promised to post a range of photos showing shop fronts. I defy anyone who has no Chinese to identify these shops. And one is a foot massage shop - look for the feet! Photos the Chinese do not see. The Communist Party boss of Mianzhu. Monday, May 26, 2008.

Totties Blooms

Friday, 14 August 2015. I purchased a bunch of tulips yesterday. To me it is a luxury - as money is tight with me, but I was tempted and gave in. Not too bad! I am very pleased with the photos! Sunday, 9 August 2015. At Darwin Train Station, Northern Territory, Australia. Monday, 15 June 2015.

GrandM.A. Adventure

Sunday, May 22, 2011. I booked to go to one of the sessions for the Ideas Festival.

Kramers Diary

Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Kramer died on Saturday October 16th 2010. Friday, July 3, 2009. Sunday, February 15, 2009. How weird he has been.
