I used grey-board under dark dreen goatskin to build up the dragon and inlaid a stunning real ruby for his eye. I hand painted the fore-edges with a scene from the text of Gandalf walking towards the lonely mountain. On the top edge I painted a sun rise scene and on the bottom edge I painted a moonscape picture. Ive been busy binding this very special editio.
