Friday, August 14, 2015. As I am preparing my classroom for back to school, I have scoured TpT for the perfect alphabet for my new pre-k class. I have seen so many amazing alphabets, but none were exactly what I was looking for. I really want my students to interact with the letters, pictures and words. Hence, the birth of interactive anchor charts! I love the storing this activity in the plastic pockets that I ordered from Amazon. You can find them HERE.

Friday, February 13, 2015. This is one of my favorite ways to practice and review vowels. I give each student a vowel on a math counter. They all have the same worksheet with the vowel missing. They read each word with the vowel they have. Then they switch to use another vowel. Simple, quick, fun. For one, you could also make your own.

While perusing Facebook tonight, I saw a personal eulogy for a man who had passed. I recognized the name as the former 5th grade teacher of my oldest brother. My brother will be 40 this year.
