Yesterday, after two very snowy weeks of early March, I felt the first tender rays of springtime warmth dance upon my skin. I took Annie out back and together we played amongst them, both entranced by a sensation that we had very nearly forgotten. I got a late start, which turned out to be an advantage, as many lost their floral displays in hail storms earlier in the summer. For this tour through the garden, I brought out my boots after another rainy day in Denver. I fell in love with grasses this summer, and love how they cascade from the large pot that has been empty for two years, after its discovery at an estate sale.

After humming and hawing, I finally picked the Smooth Sailing Sports Togs. Pattern, and printed it from my computer. I pieced it together, and shoved it in a manila envelope for a month.
