Sunday, November 15, 2015. With three months now of life lived in Okinawa, I shall herewith share some observations, experiences, and trivia- trivial and otherwise- amassed. And with the random nature of this collection, I shall opt for a list format. In my bathroom cabinet resides a large container of the stuff, and I carry somewhat smaller tubes in my purse and in my backpack. Even the glove compartment of my car holds a tube of sunscreen. Scarecrows showed up in October.

Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Emmy, the perfect member, who got us Christmas presents. But we had this insane crazy awesome lesson on Tuesday.

Sunday, January 8, 2017. I decided to make only 8 blocks using 8 inch squares with the center block empty. So the ironing and cutting began and I had the quilt and binding cut out! Night two I barely had any time but got the half square triangle blocks marked, sewed and cut out. Then on to working long hours for the next few days. We do learn more from failure in our lives than anytime in our lives. What I was taught in high school was that grades were everything. That is not true at all! Due to illiteracy, many cannot fill out a simple job app.
