Wednesday, August 11, 2010. England to France 3rd August 2010. 18am in total darkness from Shakespeare Beach. The water was beautifully warm and dead flat calm, just like a good day in the lakes in Inchigeela or Inniscarra in Cork. I was so happy to feel the temperature as it was my only big concern.

Sunday, 10 July 2016. Had a great gang of swimmers today; Victoria. Ade, Charlie, Jane. Adam, Iain, Graham, Tim and all the lifeguards.
New record for me over 5km,. I will not compete in any of these in 2015, not a chance! I would need to find a teammate! .

Sunday, November 29, 2009. The Swim Part 2 England - France. I stood on the beach, fixed my goggles and waited for the signal to start. At that stage I probably should have been having deep profound thoughts about what lay ahead and what I wanted to achieve. But to be honest I was just very excited to be starting and happy to have finally gotten the chance to swim. All of the nerves were gone. I was ready! Yay, time to begin! At about 1035am Lance blew the horn on the boat. My swim had started! It was .CONTENT

This blog is dedicated to my planned English Channel swim in July 2013 and my journey to get there. Thursday, 1 August 2013. I have been looking forward to writing this blog post for almost 3 years!
