We are working with common materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, no hi-tech space-rated materials. All construction is divided in two different locations. One facility where we build all hardware such as fuel tanks, engines, frames etc. And the second facility where we assemble all the rocket interior. Why we distinguish between these two parties is due to hygiene and safety reasons. All components are designed and manufacture in-house just to keep the costs down, but of course quality up.

SRRG began life as an experimental rocket test program set up by Sebastian Borg, Henrik Ågren and per Lantz back in April - 2010. The objective was to develop an inexpensive means of delivering small scientific payloads to high altitudes. SRRG has grown from being the vision of one man to a group of focused and well-motivated team consisting of both full-time and part-time volunteers. Our goal is commercialisation of space for private individuals, schools, and small entrepreneurs etc.

HTP3Z-1X runs on a fuel mix of ethanol - Hydrogen peroxide and it has a thrust of 3,8 ton. The first generation of the HTP3Z-1X engine is primarily a test article.
