Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Why did I start a Consignment Shop? I get this question a lot. I remember when I was about 11 years old. My mother would make my clothes. With 6 kids to feed and clothe it was the cheapest way. Then one day my older cousins were cleaning their closet. My aunt brought over a big trash bag full of clothes my size. Could we use them? I was in heaven! I spent the day trying on outfits and parading in front of the mirror.
