Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Day Eight- Normandy and Northern France. Here I am in front of the wall of flags of Allies. Dave overlooking Omaha beach where the majority of US troops came onshore - and the majority lost their lives. Through the tree you can see the graves. so many of them! I believe around 6,000 men and women lost their lives that day and on the following few days. Very well maintained, beautiful, and peaceful setting. Almost a reverent feeling abounds. Dave wandering amongst the headstones.

Sunday, November 28, 2010. First Day of School 2010. My crazy crew on the first day of school on August 31, 2010. Kate and Tanner are both returning for another round at Snoqualmie Middle School, with Kate in her third and final year 8th grade before moving up to Mt. Si High next year. Tanner is comfortably settling in as a 7th grader and anticipating his reign on top next year. I LOVE the untied shoelace! Ah, Kal. Snubbin for the camera, as usual. And hambone Tucker.
