Asymp; Leave a comment. How many trees do you see each day? How many of those do you really notice? How about one that has graced your front yard for 37 years. That grandchildren have delighted in and crawled all over. We lost a large limb on that hackberry a few weeks ago. Turns out the old tree had a bad fungus that was eating it from the inside out. Last night we lost the rest of it.

This is my attempt to sort it all out. Wednesday, 19 October 2011. To say it has been a bit of an adjustment is an understatement.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Having been born with just enough sense to not stick my tongue in a working toaster, I made the decision early in my life to not take unnecessary risks. Cruising at 45 000 feet above the rest of the planet, I feel myself giving way.
