Welcome to my attempt at documenting the build my Gardner Douglas 427. I cannot promise this will always be the latest information , but when things are slack in the garage Ill post up what I can. Monday, 10 June 2013. And then to something much more modern, its not a GD and it has side pipes but I kind of like the look of this car. Maybe traditional is best though.
Tuesday, 10 May 2011. Love it, love it, love it! Love the colour, love the smell of GRP, love it! Will stroke it a couple of weeks and then make a start. Finished the garage also, and got the racking in, so now have space for the spare parts in there. Need to get support frame done now. Wednesday, 13 April 2011.
Welcome to the build of my Gardner Douglas 427. Monday, 12 May 2014. What a great show t was this year again, We had the ferry booked for the Friday night from Belfast to Liverpool and all went well with a rather nice sailing. Up bright and early on the Sunday for a full packed day going around the show and as normal the GD stand looked really well. It was great going around the show loo.
Over the next couple of years i will be updating and showing you all the progress of my AK 427 Cobra build. You will be able to track my progress building a lightweight sportscar with monster V8 power, stunning good looks and alot of hard work and determination. Saturday, 18 July 2015. This is the diary of my Cobra build. and this is what I have now achieved. Castle Combe - Classic, Kit and Retro Action Day 2015. Yesterday I took my Cobra to Castle Combe as a guest of Gardner Douglas, for the Classic, Kit and Retro Action Day. This is basically a big car show with lots of track sessions available, including some weird and wonderful stuff from Vintage Double Deckers to Drifting Displays. Here are a few pics of the GD stand and some of me on the track.

Sunday, 15 August 2010. After 955 days in build and 465 days on the road my near 4 year affair with my Gardner Douglas 427 is over. It was not an easy decision to come to and it took some time to finally decide. Even today as I sit here typing this and looking outside at the sun shining I miss it, I think Ill always miss it. it really was one hell of a car. The GD consistently out-run and out-cornered everything on four wheels that it came across. It was thus only going to be a matter of time until .CONTENT
