Wednesday, September 10, 2014. So my boss sent out a message that she was a grandma and I wanted to do something nice. I posted earlier that I found some cute bibs to make. I finished the two turtles in about a week. It was a fun stitch, although my fingers get quite sore and bandaids were close at all times. Good thing these bibs come as a pair. I quickly stitched up the second bib in about two days.

Wednesday, January 19, 2011. To fill the gap I finished another easy quilt for one of my daughters - she picked all the fabrics and I have spent the last two weeks hand quilting it in perle cotton. Just need to finish the binding tomorrow. It is from a pattern by Hot Possum. I imagine you have all heard about the terrible floodings in Australia - I am also about to make a couple of quilts to send off to these people. A way I can help in a tiny way. I shouldnt have started this project on a day I wasnt feeling the best but I thought it would help spur me on to get something done. I started with the X-men symbol block because it was the simplest. I thought I knew what colors went where without looking at my notes and sewed on the wrong color. The bowl above was hand carved by a coworker. Have a great day! Shared at Sew Darn Crafty.
