Bolton Abbey 20th June 2009. For the first time in decades, I missed a trip here in May. So what does it look like in June? Certainly more green stuff on the trees. Another obvious diffence is that the birds are quieter now, so finding Redstart, Wood and Garden warblows are harder. And so it was, that I missed these. Are well! What did I get? Sunday, 31 May 2009. Swooping low, hunting over the river.

Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Enjoyed a superb ringing session yesterday morning with 43 birds trapped at Lower Bruckland Ponds. I never knew this place was such a fuel station for migrating passerines, but clearly it is. The more ringing I do the more I realise field counts are way off the mark, especially when it comes to migration. It was mostly Warblers; 11 Chiffchaff. I really hope someone .

I call it Birding but visiting Antelope Island is so much more than simply birding. It was a wonderful day even though it rained much of the time. Here are some pictures of our day, and a list of birds and other animals that we saw.
