Grade 1 Room 16 is working on some kicking skills during station activities. Monday, 20 April 2015. Rocks and Rings Curling Unit. The students at Stevenson spent two weeks in March participating in a gymnastics unit to prepare them for their ultimate test of completing our mission impossible obstacle course. This obstacle course gave the students a chance to apply their balancing, springing and rotation skills that they practice in our gymnastics unit. Friday, 12 December 2014.
Sunday, May 24, 2015. During this program, students solve mysteries while practicing basic French vocabulary. We practiced basic greetings, the French alphabet and pronunciation of French names. We also explored French communities across Canada. Many students have solved the case early. What smart detectives! Performing at Université de Saint-Boniface.
Monday, 29 June 2015. Friday, 26 June 2015. We had a lot of fun creating Minecraft worlds. We brought in cardboard from home, and recycled it into masks, tools and armour. We designed everything, then cut them out and painted them. It was a lot of fun. When everything was done, we planned and presented short plays using our Minecraft creations. Our Scene is called Farming Creeper. Emily and Madison had a fight. Madison won! Then Sam the Creeper killed Madison.
