My career as a journalist began in local newspapers in the UK during the late 1980s. However, it was interspersed with work in radio. My broadcast experience includes spells working as a journalist in the newsrooms of Essex FM and BBC Essex, I worked the desk on phone-in shows, hosted the breakfast show at Radio Basildon and was a Radio Top Shop DJ. In late 2014 I was invited to return to the NZ Herald.
