Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Here are some of our pictures from SF. It was cold and windy out on the boat. We did a lot of swimming and made a trip to San Francisco. In SF, we went to Pier 39 and Alcatraz Island. The sea lions were hilarious! Camping at Lake Tahoe.

A blog for learning, writing, and reading. Friday, May 2, 2014. Anniversary of Winter Quarters Mining Disaster. Yesterday was May 1st- the 114th anniversary of the Scofield Mining Disaster. Last year I went down to Scofield about 90 miles from my house to walk through the cemetery and remember all the miners who died. I first went up to the cemetery and took some pictures. Then I had to see the canyon where the mines were. This is the foundation of the Winter Quarters School. Wednesday, October 23, 2013.CONTENT
