Our joyous mission apprenticeship came to a close in Mumena, we moved back to the States in mid August, spent a couple of weeks in Chattanooga, a couple of weeks in Roanoke, and now we have been in Abilene for a almost a month! We are already missing so much about Zambia and those that we grew to love in Mumena. But, we have been so blessed to be reunited with family, friends, and pets! We will be .

Monday, September 17, 2012. This weekend I got to bring out my inner-redneck by going with John to Childress, Texas out to the farm that my family owns. Its also where I experienced my first Deer Hunt which you can read about here. If you missed it! John wanted to get it ready for the coming Deer season by checking on the blind and refilling the deer feeder as if we dont feed enough animals already! Tuesday, October 21, 2008. I ended up finishing 18th I was hoping for better but I gave it what I had on the day. Onto the bike and I had been told that the first 10km would be fast and it was. I lost the front group at about 15km and kind of slipped back throught the bike leg although did pick a few off who struggled in the 2nd half.
