Sunday, 24 October 2010. My name is Stephanus Pretorius. I was born in Pretoria, South Africa. I am an animator, illustrator, storyboard artist, character designer and concept artist. Over the years I have drawn lots of illustrations and cartoon character designs. About my Life in Cochlear Implant. Wednesday, 15 April 2015. Audiologist Test - Cochlear Implant. I was at Oxford Hospital. I have tested with a pure tone audiology. I passed normal hearing 0 to 20 dB. I could hear phone ringing, doorbell, bu bird songs and leaves well. The ranges show mild, moderate, moderate, moderately-severe, severe and profound. Miss Deaf South Africa of Cochlear Implant. Simone Botha is a South African cochlear implantee. Simone was born profoundly deaf. Simone was a baby at the age of 22 months that she got a cochlear implant. At that stage she was the youngest cochlear implantee receipt in Africa. Although Simone is able of recognizing these sounds. Simone is not always able to do this.
