Viernes, 8 de enero de 2010. Enclavada en el parque natural de Somiedo. Declarada Reserva de la Bioesfera por la Unesco. Todo el valle de Pola de Somiedo posee un marcado caracter de montaña. Desde el parten diversas rutas para recorrer las distintas brañas y lagos del concejo. Tambien tenemos el centro de recepcion e interpretacion del Parque Natural de Somiedo. Las distintas brañas o poblaciones con su tipismo como La Pornacal. Partiendo del pueblo de El Valle.
Declarado Parque Natural en junio de 1988, y desde noviembre de 2000 Reserva de la Biosfera por la UNESCO. Uno de los elementos más singulares del patrimonio etnográfico asturiano. Situado al Sur del centro de Asturias, en el corazón de la región. Zona estructuralmente compleja, correspondiente al precámbrico y paleozoico.
