Are the Regulatory Or Self-Regulatory? The Asa is Self-Regulatory, as they are a company which made themselves making the rule for advertising and what can be shown to what audiences.
Audience- This is a gathering of spectators or listeners, usually at a public performance such as a concert, but also refers to any member of the public viewing, buying or listening to any type of media product. Narrowcasting- When a certain channel choose a certain audience through the programme they broadcast.
What is there full name? There full name is the Advertising standards authority. Who do they regulate? Which areas of the media? The ASA regulate all types of advertising across the United Kingdom, they make sure that all adverts are legal and to quality standard before they go out on air, or out onto billboards and posters. Are they regulatory or self-regulatory? The ASA are a self-regulatory company.
