When I heard about the uTalk language challenge I just had to get involved. After looking at all the options my first thought was Icelandic but I got carried away and started so that meant I could not do Icelandic for the challenge. After much deliberation I eventually chose Turkish. Turkish has been on my to learn list for a long time. I spent 5 days in Istabul some 10 years ago and learnt some basic phrases before I went but I have not managed to progress beyond this.
