Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Some gifts come wrapped up in beautiful packages. Other presents come enveloped in the tiny hands of giggling boys. I believe I unknowingly acquired a doozy. Of a surprise when I turned 36 - an increased ability to perspire. Through two cotton tank tops and am sporting a wet circle the size of my entire torso.
We journeyed from Houston to Denver to Tetons to Missoula to Banff to North Cascades to San Juan Islands to Seattle to Olympic to Rainier to St. Helens to Cape Lookout to Cape Blanco to Redwoods to Tahoe to Crested Butte to Houston. And then we came home. And immediately as we went back to the hustle of the daily life I missed my suspension between D to S to B within the walls of our moving vehicle. But this time is good. The ability to give outside of the family .

Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Several years ago, I had the opportunity to climb one of the best peaks in Colorado with a few friends. If you know me well, you have probably endured my retelling of the infamous hiking boot fiasco that befell me on this wilderness adventure. As we stood in the parking lot before making our ascent to the grand peak, I contemplated which shoes to wear.

Monday, August 26, 2013. While we were gone my Aunt Alice and Cousin Ashley watched the kids for the week. They almost killed my Aunt with their craziness and they got some great pictures to prove it. We came home to this beautiful sign made my the kids. I loved it and left it up for a week. I bought a tie dye kit a few months ago and saved it for when we were gone so the kids would have a special thing to look forward to with Nana, what they call my Aunt. They taught her thumbs up.
