Planning and arriving in Baltra. We had a few options for how to get to Quito, Ecuador from London. As two of them involved boring stopovers and the potential of being cooped up for 13 hours with drug runners, we opted for the London-Miami-Quito option on BA and AA. Given how much both SS and I hate US customs, this was a mark of how awful the other flying options were. The shuttle was quick and well driven, and 15minutes later we were at the hotel. It looked just like ever.

Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Back in Manhattan I wen.

While digging through my fabric stash I found some left-overs of a sewing project that went horribly wrong. Last April I started on Simplicity 2403 in a navy and polka-dot version. Here is a picture of my progress. It was extremely frustrating; especially because I had spend so much time on getting the blouse portion just right. In the end I gave the dress to a friend of mine, who looks super cute in it.
