Thursday, May 24, 2012. What I Like About You. I had lunch with an old friend yesterday and it was the first time she had met Mina, and Sara, as a mommy. We spent our time talking about social work, crazy jobs, crazy people, and being mommies. As we were talking about mommy-hood, she asked me what my favorite thing about being a mom was, what I loved the most. Or is it? Psshhhh, I dunno? Was my first reaction. Sunday, May 13, 2012.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011. What happens to my laundry in the end. Tonight, God used an overabundance of clean, wet laundry, a spring-shut door, and a dusty concrete floor to teach me how much i need Him. I pulled the laundry out of the faulty dryer wad by wad, stuffing them into my arms. Okay, i thiiiink this will work. I teetered across the laundry room, bent over like an old woman to try to make myself into a hobo-bowl to keep everything together. I was doing okay till i got to the door.

Wanna know the funny thing? A couple months ago I saw the same frog in the front yard. I poked it with a stick and toyed with the idea of keeping it as a pet. Same happenstance, different location.
