Monday, March 9, 2009. Our Celebration of Daylilies came about by chance. In 1986, members of the Brazosport Daylily Club came to Shimeks Gardens scouting around just before one of the Clubs conventions. We only had a few daylilies back then, but had quite a large collection of roses. The members invited us to join Brazosport Daylily Club and become a garden host for our first convention, and we happily accepted. We enjoy hybridizing, and always look forward to seeing our first babies bloom. We l.CONTENT
