I had to migrate this list into SP2010 from WSS 3. First thing I had to increase the template size limit on my server as the user which I was migrating was big. I used this command to do that. exe -o setproperty -pn max-template-document-size -pv 524288000.

Saturday, March 27, 2010. Do not enable builtin theme if you custom brand your site. Our first iteration package was deployed last Friday, which mostly includes the branded piece for the public site.
