Thursday, August 21, 2008. This is some of the most fun corn to grow. It is called Painted Mountain and is a colorful dry corn. We have been harvesting and husking it. We will hang it to dry around the house and it makes a beautiful fall decoration. Later we will take the kernels off the cob then grind it into corn flour. It makes pretty and delicious cornbread. Sunday, May 22, 2011. Mommy and Me Ruffle Skirt and Party Dress. I found this tutorial for making a ruffle skirt here. So I decided to make one. Seriously, easy is an understatement. It took me less than two hours to make this skirt, and I had some leftover fabric, so I made a matching one for Violet in less than an hour! So cute and so much fun.
