Within the heart of every animal lies the desire to be loved. In 2008, after a 5 week old rescue kitten died from a dreaded disease, we found our lives taking a whole new direction and a passion was birthed, a passion we have never dreamed of. We wanted to honour the memory of little Kito and make a difference and live out our purpose. Second Chance Sanctuary is a non-profit, pro-life. All our residents are sterilised, inoculated, treated monthly for fleas and ticks and regularly wormed.

Welcome to Second Chance Chins! Please read the notice below. The recent change in our economy has lead to an onslaught of surrender requests, but very few applications to adopt to support a continued flow of chins to new homes and allow us to help others. In past years, we placed an average of approximately 25 chins into new homes each year. Second Chance Chins has re-homed. Not including the 4 we adopted ourselves! And should never be given to animals! See our safe wood page.
