Lisa herself lives in a John Van Bergen house, and she has a wealth of knowledge about many residences in Highland Park. A Sears Avalon on Avalon Ave. In 1920, Sears Roebuck offered a new model, The Avalon. In their Modern Homes catalog. From the 1920 Sears Modern Home catalog. About that same time, some homes were being built just outside the Dayton city limits on a new street named Avalon Ave. And apparently, one family decided to build a Sears Avalon. A Sears Avalon at 2244 Avalon Ave.
