The concerns I sometime hear are, if my child moves quickly through this or skips it, then do they really know it? Would they do better in a prep program where emphasis is on drilling certain skills? The making of a comet. This week we did a science experiment guided by local professor Dr. Toska Olson-Rexroat from Evergreen college. In our experiment we learned about the building blocks of comets. It was a great chance for us to use STEAM vocabulary and science language. I felt rejected today in class. I tried to participate in class but felt that Scott shot me down and then agreed with others with similar thoughts. BLAH! I stand by my decision about what I wrote about. I took a path least followed because I thought it was an interesting concept and that the poem can be seen in that perspective.
