Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 2014 Year End Roundup and Time for Some Changes. As you may or may not have noticed, this was a disgraceful year for posts. I do have to apologize to those kind individuals who emailed or messaged me encouraging me to write more. However, a few things happened this year that derailed any plans for increased output.
They just released their second full length, this one is on Run For Cover. The Ultimate Package - Part 3.
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Last summer, I was introduced to Blues Pills and it was love at first sight. On a whim, I decided to check out some of their youtube videos, and the first song that I queued up was a live version of Black Smoke at Rockpalast. The other 10 inch EP from Blues Pills that I grabbed was the Devil Man. Because this was released on Nuclear Blast, there are about 10 different pieces of colored vinyl pressed for each release.
Hardships - too fast to slow down. the vinyl delivers some raw and heavy hardcore at the metallic end of the spectrum. pretty much up my alley. since then i heard nothing new from them. so in preperation for this entry, i searched the almighty oracle, known as the internet for information concerning this band from england. Vinyl tape cd pick ups. Hardcore in the tradition of Boston bands such as DYS and SSD but from Oslo, Norway. Love this repress due to the thick vinyl and great looking gatefold sleeve. Pretty rare out of 30 copies. I love Black Sabbath and I love it even more of it has the classic Vertigo label.
While I would normally be really happy about posting this recent purchase, I was actually pretty pissed off for a couple of days before I even considered posting this. It is pretty high up on my want list and it felt like forever before I even found a copy that was for sale. So when I finally found one, I jumped on it. I was going to post pictures of the cracks on the record here but I figure wh.
It still remains a bit of a mystery to me too. It came with an screenprinted OBI strip -. The cover is also screenprinted but has no song-titles or anything on it, just a bizarre Octopus sprawled across both the front and back of the sleeve. It features one track from each band -.
It All Comes Down To This. Wednesday, 29 July 2015. Disengage play fast straight edge hardcore. Get the picture? Not bad all in all, but nothing that makes we want to stage dive off my couch. Id been meaning to pick up a copy of French band Harm Dones 7 for ages as they feature members of Raw Justice another Straight and Alert Records band I like. It took so long that I had to wait for the repress to pick one up but I did at least manage to get this Spray Painted cover version out of 40 copies. Cross Me - Mind Prison Content.CONTENT
