In much the same way that we teach them that only one child can speak at a time or that we put our feet under the table when we eat, digital citizenship is another way that we need to introduce and hold the children accountable for their actions.

They should understand 3 key components when accessing the internet. Etiquette - The same rules of respect and courtesy that we share in the classroom apply to other aspect of our life, including the internet. Students should be reminded the importance of appropriate use of language.
