More Backpacks than Blue Jeans - Japan. Saturday, August 05, 2006. This is just a few comments and pics from my year in Japan from Oct 2003 to Oct 2004. Cherry blossoms are truly beautiful. They only lazy about a week at full beauty and I am very glad that I got out several times during that week to enjoy them. This is a bridge in Matsushima. This area is one of the top 3 places to visit in Japan and it really is as beautiful as the Japanese say it is. This bamboo forest is also in Matsushima.

They live in the countryside so when I go to visit it is generally a very different Costa Rican experience then what most tourists have. Mostly however we just hung out and talked. So since my last update about 6 months have pasted, mainly cause I got tired of the blog not working here so I stoped checking. Checked on a whim today and here it is up and running just fine. So I will have to do several updates to get caught up. The weekend after my last post I did go hiking. It was to a beautiful place and I had a great time. Music class is lots of fun.
