Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Recently one of the clubs at school wrote notes of encouragement on Post-it notes and stuck them to all the lockers. The day had an overall positive feel to it. Of course throughout that day, and the next few, the little pieces of sticky paper found themselves in various other places around the building. Yesterday I found this one. Thursday, April 18, 2013.

Tuesday, November 25, 2014. As Thanksgiving is quickly approaching I am urged to finally write out some of my thoughts on thankfulness in this season of my life. Last month the love of my life asked me to spend forever with him. I said yes, and I just kept thinking- who am I to get to be a part of this story? Who am I to get to love and be loved by a man this wonderful? Who am I to get to have a story that I am so excited to share? I am oh so thankful for that fact that I am.

I am an assistant professor of Political Science at the University of New Mexico. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. My research focuses on comparative political economy, subnational politics, and Latin America. My book project analyzes broad issues of social policy performance across multiple territorial levels. More specifically, I examine how political alignments at state and local levels shape the implementation of non-contributory social policies.
