Pikes Peak has been on my radar and today Tony and I arrived at the Crags Campground trailhead to a cool 30 degrees. About 500ft into the trail I realized left my trekking poles in the car. Instead of going back, I opted to continue without them, making this my first 14er without them. Frost covered ground and 10,400ft. Tony and Stranger John.
