Boulder County, Colorado Mining Camps. North of Jamestown, the site of the Smuggler mine. The post office application was submitted in 1879 and was to serve 125 residents. Southeast of Caribou, this camp was platted in 1870, and two years later it reportedly had 200 inhabitants.
Located in Salina, Colorado, a mining camp settled in April 1874 by prospectors from Kansas. At the present time, we are not taking reservations.

The Four Mile Canyon Fire burned into our community and destroyed five homes, the fire station, and numerous outbuildings. Other homes were damaged and most of the trees up the hillside between Salina and Sunshine are gone. We now have a new bathroom! 386 Gold Run Road, just below the church.
