Saturday, April 12, 2014. Not the best day to finish. This is the last Blog for the Glen Coe area this season, we will start forecasting again in December. Lochaber and North Cairngorm will issue forecasts over the Easter week-end. Thanks for supporting the service have a great summer. Saturday, April 12, 2014. Last forecast of the season. I think the mountain hares are finding it hard making their mind up where to hide. With a Snowy Owl spotted in the area they probably should take cover! The edges of the corries are very broken. many glide cracks continue to widen. Fortunately we have not had any heavy rain which is likely to lead to some activity from these zones. This newly developed crack extends a long way back from the edge.
