Thursday, February 6, 2014. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. After 5 months on the road, it feels extremely good to be home. I arrived back in Anchorage this last Friday and the last three days have passed by like a snap of the fingers. Thursday, February 28, 2013.

We have now completed our 3rd and final glacier camp of the summer. Our summer training is broken into 4 week blocks. Two weeks are spent dryland training in Anchorage, one week training on Eagle Glacier, and the last week spent on our own with some combination of recovery, adventuring, and training. Out for an afternoon classic ski.

XC Ski Racing, Health, and Outdoor Adventures. Monday, June 6, 2011. For quite some time I have wanted to travel to ski with the youth in rural villages of Alaska. This spring, the dream came into fruition! We brought a monstrous load of luggage full of skis, boots, and poles for all ages and sizes so that every student would get the chance to ski. The kids lining up to get fitted for gear during one of our optional after-school skiing sessions.

Family Vacation on the Cape. I have now been on the Cape with my family for a week. I must say we have been pretty lucky with the weather so far! Our first day was a rainy day so we played games, dug some trenches around our tent, and headed to the library to get some work done. Since then, all we have had is sunshine and clean waves. APU Nordic Ski Center began a decade ago as a regional Olympic training center for cross-country skiers. The program developed some of the best elite skiers in the country including many Olympians, World Champion and national medalists. APU Nordic Ski Center is a place for those who wish to pursue international excellence both academically and athletically.
