Friday, November 14, 2008. Working on the group project has allowed me to hone my communication skill and on building interpersonal relationship. I have gained invaluable friendships in the process. Through the project, I am also able to apply the techniques and skills of written and oral communication that I have learned in class into practice. Saturday, October 18, 2008. Saturday, November 15, 2008. After taking this course, it made me reflect on how little I knew about communicating effectively, and how much I have to learn. Also, it was a great challenge to put together our written report, but it helped us put our newly acquired skills into practice, such as writing a business correspondence, and how to write in a persuasive tone.

Sunday, November 16, 2008. Time sure passes fast, we are now at the end of the course! Well, looking back, I was expecting quite a lot from this course, and admittedly I learned more on the written aspect than anything else, so no complains there. I remember the first things we learned in the course were active listening, nonverbal cues, resolving conflicts, intercultural communication and more, since these were more fundamentally important, considering the fact that we communicate with people every day.

During the first few lessons on effective communication, we were encouraged us to share our thoughts and ideas during the discussion. This had broadened my thoughts and gave me new insights on the issue. I realised that the interaction with peers could be enhanced by good oral communication skills. I was in the Audio and Visual Club and Science society in my secondary and JC days respectively. This has built up on my ability to troubleshoot problems and be more s.
