One of my favourite deisgns was the Jay Z design so i decided to take that further onto InDesign to develop my skills. Monday, 24 May 2010.
Amber advised me to look at the Beautrix Potter Packaging for inspiration, to show how I can pull all the book designs together. Women used in Advertising and the damage of the male gaze on society. This cloesness shows the mans desire to possess the female of his fantasy. When I first glanced at the image I was very aware of the sexual context and its explicit nature and I, as the viewer, questioned whether this is something I should be looking at, are people looking at me looking at this image? Voyeurism is an easy way to sell products to men, as it conjures images of sexual nature.

Thursday, 1 December 2011. Wednesday, 30 November 2011. I want the patterns to continue through the stationary, I like the idea of duplex printing the full pattern onto the reverse of the letterhead. I played around with the layout for the compliments slip, I quite like the idea of it being a portrait format as this parallels the design of the verticle patterns and I think it appears sleek and interesting.
