I spent October in Australia visiting in friends and returning to old haunts. It was a very needed, relaxing and inspiring month. I took a bag of multi coloured wool, needles and hooks with me and made tags in my free time to leave my mark.
I created the cosyberry bush for The Sharrow Winter Garden Trail. In December 2009 and decided to leave the berries attached to the bush and see what happened to them. These pictures were taken a month later during the snow and the berries were still going strong. A month after that they were gone. The bush was cut down by the council, I think during routine maintanance.

I have been thinking a lot about dandelion clocks lately. I used them in a project a few years ago and I have noticed they are all over the place again. I was thinking about using the below visual for some personal work but realised it could be an effective image for the shop window display. Yesterday when I was up at Parson Cross I was struck by the idea that as well as making pompoms to hang from trees that we could maybe make some into flowers to plant around the area.
My crochet and stitch workshops are currently on hold. Due to other commitments my workshops are currently on hold. BACK TO RUTHIE FORD TEXTILES.
