My observations as I travel from day to day through life and around the world. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Hosta Still Going to Bloom. While I was away in Virginia the deer decided to make a feast out of the beautiful large hostas that are growing at the corner of my house. What a disappointment it is to see that site when I drive up to the front of the house. But, this week the hostas are budding to bring forth flowers. The missing leaves are still unsightly, but the flowers will bring forth some joy.

It has been rich here, interacting with friends. How Ive loved the expanse of it all! I still need to write, and in an open forum. But Ive changed, and I want a quieter and more sequestered space. I picture a monastic retreat, with a narrow bed, a desk and a window. And all the outdoors beyond. We are not poor. We are just without riches,.CONTENT
