I have felt the pressure to keep fit and to stay in shape, mainly because I want to get back racing as soon as possible, but after pushing myself to run for 36 weeks I am looking back now wondering if it was my most sensible decision. Monday, September 7, 2009. I made a delicious Devils Food cake with a rich Dark Chocolate Ganache for Dan and a Triple Berry pie for Katie. We then drove the 30 minutes back to the house in time to cool off. I did surprise Dad by informing him I joined the NRA! Tuesday, September 1, 2009.
Tonight I ate at a Chinese restaurant somewhere in small town Pennsylvania. As I sat alone at my plexiglass covered table admiring the fascinating decor, it occurred to me that the only reason I was here was because I was alone. I would have been to apprehensive to suggest the possibility of eating here with anyone else. The food was great, the waitress was coarse, and the floors were dirty. Why am I concerned about the comfort level of others more than my own? January 27, 2015.
